Session 1 - 10am - 3:30pm (practical training)

PRE-REQUISITES:

Manicure Certificate.

PRICE:

£250 total cost. Pay in full or pay a £50 deposit to book your space, followed by the remaining £200 balance 5 days before your practical training.

Kit not included but all products required are supplied for your use in the academy.

COURSE STRUCTURE

After booking, you will receive a confirmation email with details for how to gain access to our website's Student Zone. This contains your training manuals and pre-course study. There is a short quiz to check your understanding of the pre-course theory, but there are no time limits, and you can attempt these questions as many times as required.

You will then attend our academy for 1 full day with your course educator, for either 121 or small group training (max. 3 students). For the practical learning you will watch demos and practice on your own nails as well as a training hand. There will be lots of individual support so you can learn the treatment techniques, leaving confident to safely practice your new skills.

To complete your Hard Gel Extensions course, after practicing at home, you will then return for a 1/2 day session at the academy to be assessed whilst applying a full set of hard gel extensions on a model.. You will secure this date at the same time as booking your course.

ASSESSMENT

Your assessment will take place at least a week after your initial session. This will give you time to build your own kit and practice at home the techniques you have learnt, as well as message your tutor for any additional advice and support if required.

We appreciate that even with practice before your assessment you will still be a beginner, so although we do have high standards and expectations for our graduates to be the best they can be, we do not expect perfect sets of nails from day 1! Please do not let this put you off!

Your educator wants to see you working safely and applying the core knowledge and skills you have been shown, but also appreciates that you will still require practice to further refine your technique. Your educator is there to support and guide you, during training, during your assessment, and beyond your course while you progress in our industry.

FURTHER INFORMATION

ACCREDITATION: This course is accredited by ABT and is suitable for arranging ABT professional insurance. For insurance with other providers, you should first check their specific requirements as their conditions may vary.

MODELS:

Session 1 - You will be practicing on yourself. PLEASE ATTEND WITH BARE NAILS. You need healthy (not severely bitten or damaged) bare nails suitable for extensions. If you are unable to work on yourself you may bring a model to work on instead. Please let us know if this is the case.

Session 2 - You will need a model to work on for your practical assessment.

KIT: No kit is required for this course. Everything you need to complete the training will be provided on the day, and a full list of recommended products will be given by your educator during your first day of training. We strongly recommend that you build your own kit to practice with after day 1, before returning for your day 2 assessment.
