COURSE OVERVIEW: This course consists of online pre-course study, 1 day of taught theory and supervised clinical practice at our academy, and submission of a post-course reflective case study. TAUGHT BY: Claire Gaffney, Nurse Prescriber (NMC registered), Full-time Advanced Aesthetics Practitioner, 20yrs+ Nursing experience, 5+ years Advanced Aesthetics and Facial Skincare practice. PRE-REQUISITES: This course is suitable for medics and non-medics. Non-medic entry: Minimum of Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology (NVQ L3 Beauty Therapy or equivalent, or a regulated L3 A&P unit award) plus 6 months+ experience (or working towards this) of handling sharps (e.g Dermaplaning/Microneedling/B12's/SPMU) Medic entry: Current professional registration (GMC, GDC, NMC) ACCREDITATION: This course is accredited by the Centre of CPD Excellence. It is suitable for arranging professional insurance although you should check specific requirements as each insurance policy may vary. This will be assessed through a combination of pre-course written assessment, practical assessment on the day, and a post-course reflective write-up following the 2 week consult with your model(s).
