This contains your training manuals, pre-course study and specific details of your practical learning session. There is a short quiz to check your understanding of the pre-course theory, but there are no time limits and you can attempt these questions as many times as required. On Day 1 of training you will attend our academy based in Newcastle upon Tyne for either a small group or 121 practical training session with your educator. The day will begin by briefly recapping your theory work and answering any questions you may have. You will next move on to the practical learning and will have the opportunity to watch demos as well as practice the techniques you are shown on a silicone training hand. You will then take your kit away to continue practice. Day 2 will continue practical learning in the morning. YOU WILL NEED TO ARRANGE FOR YOUR MODEL TO ARRIVE AT 12:30pm and in the afternoon you will apply a full set of acrylic extensions. Your tutor will assess your work as you go. We appreciate this is a brand new skill for most students and we do not expect learners to go away the 'finished article' after 1 day. We will sign off students who show that they are able to work safely unsupervised, who understand the principles discussed during training, and who show they have the potential for creating good work with further practice.
